A poem about a girl whose true love died in a war which was caused by her love for him (let's call it a forbidden love - a love which cured her suffering of loneliness). 'this vow' is a vow of maidenhood. Imagine this girl to be beautiful and not interested in guys, but this one guy stole her heart. She feels isolated yet welcomed.
Based on a PJO Head-canon plot in my head...
